This is a smart question and you are doing well considering different options for your purchase, even after applying for a HEB credit union card. When shopping for some costly electronics next time, consider applying for a credit card that offers a 0% APR on purchases for the first year, followed by a low ongoing APR. Having a low-interest credit card is a useful thing; it's like carrying a versatile financial tool in your pocket. A rewards credit card is an even better choice; take your pick of a cash back card, travel rewards card, or points card that offers easy, flexible reward redemptions. Before becoming a Belk Elite cardholder, you must first become a Belk Premier cardholder. To become a Belk Premier Cardholder, you must spend $600 as a Belk Rewards cardholders. To become a Belk Elite cardholder, you must spend a total of $1,500 on your Belk credit cards within a calendar year. Aside from the free shipping, there aren't many other benefits. Additional benefits include a quarterly 20% off personal sale day, as well as a 20% off birthday coupon. In my honest opinion, I do not believe the Belk Elite card is worth the $1,500 you need to spend to get it. Unless you are paying thousands of dollars in Belk shipping fees, the Belk Elite card is a real waste of time and money.

The Target credit card doesn't offer a rewards program, like points or cash back rewards programs, but offers 5% discount at Target every day (see their terms for the full terms and conditions). However, the credit card has a high APR which will definitely wipe out any discount you may receive if you carry a balance. If you want to apply for a credit card with rewards, you may choose from general cash back credit cards.

You can finance your purchase at Sears using any regular credit card that is good for your current credit history. You can look at the credit cards for people with fair credit to see if there is a good option for you. Pay attention to the rewards programs, fees and promos. Some credit cards can come with a 0% intro APR on purchases that will allow you to avoid interest payments for a period of time. Or you may prefer a card with rewards to save on your purchase. If you are planning to keep your new card, you may want to consider credit cards without an annual fee. Just make sure you compare all available options to find the best one for you.

This is a good question, because many people get confused about this exact thing. But in fact, a co-branded credit card could also be a gas credit card, and in many cases, it is. All that co-branded means is that the credit card is issued by a financial institution in partnership with a particular merchant. This could be a department store, an airline, a hotel chain, or a fuel company. If you have a co-branded credit card, you will earn rewards when you use it at the merchant or retailer that issued it. You can also use it to make purchases anywhere, in most cases, but the biggest rewards will be reserved for the brand that is on the card. A gas credit card is usually issued by a gas...
