Using Discover cards in U.S. you are unlikely to face difficulties. Discover has the third highest acceptance rate among card networks (9.3 million merchants in U.S. in 2014) after Visa and Mastercard (9.5 million merchants in U.S. in 2014). In case you are going to travel abroad with your Discover card, you can use it at more than 30 million foreign merchants across 190 countries and territories. Discover provides a map of countries where its cards are accepted. In addition, Discover cardholders can also use their cards where Discover partners including Diners Club, Union Pay (mainland China only) and JCB (Japan only) are accepted.

As a rule, banks are able to approve within two weeks. Sometimes the process can take up to a month, but only if a bank needs to verify some information. In some cases (usually for applicants with good credit), banks are able to provide approval within a couple of business days. When approved, your card should arrive in the mail within a week or two. Some banks offer expedited delivery, but usually it is not a free service. Note, that you can always contact the bank you applied with to find out the status of your application. Some banks even allow to do this online on their websites.

Chase Ultimate Rewards is good for frequent travelers. Ultimate Rewards points can be redeemed for cash back, statement credits, Amazon.com purchases, travel, or you can transfer your points to a participating loyalty program. Ultimate Rewards credit cards allow to earn only 1 point per dollar spend on non-travel and dining purchases. If you are not going to spend a lot in these categories, you may choose other travel credit cards like Discover it® Miles credit card.

You are right in your doubts. According to the conditions of bonus offer, you can't qualify for the bonus offer if you already have any Sapphire credit card, and you won't get the bonus offer if you had any Sapphire credit card and received the bonus within the last 24 months. Thus, since you canceled your card a year ago, you won't qualify for the bonus offer. As an alternative you can apply for another credit card with good rewards bonus. If you need credit card for travel, take a look at travel rewards credit card. If you need card to earn maximum rewards on everyday purchases, then look at cash back credit cards.

If you want to redeem for travel, you must use Chase Ultimate Rewards portal or transfer points to one of the program's travel partner. Be aware there are only 13 airline and hotel partners and if you are not a member of any of them, you won't be able to transfer. In this case, if you are redeeming for travel, your only option is to use Ultimate Rewards portal. If you travel occasionally and prefer the simplicity of earning, choose travel rewards card like Discover it® Miles. You can redeem Discover miles as a statement credit towards any travel purchase (tickets on any airline, hotels, rental cards, cruises, etc.).

Since you are referring to a brand card that is not Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express, you can't use it anywhere except Sunoco gas stations. If we are talking about earning or redeeming rewards this card is not about that as it is virtually just a discount card that is tied to one brand. You can earn rewards in the form of 5¢/ gallon discount or receive this discount as a statement credit only if the discount is not applicable at the moment of purchase. If you want universality, there are other cards that give rewards on all purchases. The credit card companies and banks do not have an obligation to send a copy of credit report to consumers. You can call the company and ask them to send you a copy of your credit report. The company may send you the copy or may not, depends on their policy and practice. You can get a free copy of your credit report once a year from each of the three major credit bureaus - TransUnion, Experian and Equifax. Just contact any of the bureaus to get your credit report.
