Prepare for the Holiday Season and Use Your Citi ThankYou Points to Shop with Points at Walmart
According to recent surveys data, more than half of Americans begin preparing for Christmas festivities as early as in October. A fair percentage of customers are planning to shop at Walmart this holiday season, all because of Walmart’s low prices, large and diverse selection of items.
Now, eligible U.S. Citi cardmembers can use Shop with Points directly at over 4,700 Walmart locations nationwide. Citi ThankYou is the rewards program for Citibank credit cards. Users earn points when using their Citi ThankYou credit cards to make a payment anywhere Citibank credit cards are accepted worldwide. Over the past few years, Citi has significantly expanded the redemption options for ThankYou Points to provide even more flexibility for cardmembers.
The new low-price partner has joined the ThankYou Shop with Points program, which currently includes brands such as 1-800 Flowers, CVS, Amazon, PayPal, Best Buy, Shell, bp/Amoco and more. With Walmart, ThankYou points can be redeemed for groceries, toys, electronics, apparel and more.
Redeeming your ThankYou points for in-store Walmart purchases isn’t difficult, and no prior enrollment is required. When you check out at a participating Walmart location, swipe your Citi card at the cash register. If your store and purchase are eligible, the terminal will then say, “Redeem your ThankYou points?” Thus, you may be able to now redeem ThankYou points at a Walmart cash register at the redemption rate of 0.8 cents per ThankYou point.
Eligible Citi cardmembers can redeem ThankYou points at Walmart by using any of the major Citi cards that earn ThankYou points, including Citi Premier® Card, Citi Custom℠ Cash, Citi® Double Cash, Citi Rewards+® Card and others.
