The brand-new Citi Travel Portal with Booking.com is now up and running
Citi has officially launched its new travel platform with the assistance of Booking.com, which Citi cardholders can use for earning and redeeming Citi ThankYou points. Citi Travel with Booking.com will replace the existing City Thank You Travel Center and will offer access to over 1.4 million hotel and resort options, as well as competitive pricing for flights, hotels, car rentals and attractions.
Like the earlier version of the portal, the Citi Travel with Booking.com lets eligible Citi cardholders to earn and use Citi ThankYou points for booking hotels, airfare, car rentals and attractions. One huge benefit that the new portal being powered by Booking.com is that you can book more hotels than ever before. Eligible Citi cardholders can choose from 1.4 million hotels worldwide, including boutique hotels and reputable resort brands. It’s finally possible to book hotels more than a few months down the road.
Additionally, through June 2024, Citi cardholders will be able to earn bonus points when booking hotels, rental cars, or eligible attractions through the Citi Travel portal.
To make it clear, when making a reservation through an online travel agency like Booking.com, even under the Citi ThankYou rewards program, you will have to contact the agency about any travel changes or disruptions. It is the travel agency that handles changes instead of the airlines, hotels and other travel partners that you booked travel with. There will be a dedicated Booking.com-backed customer support team for Citi cardholders available 24/7.
Alongside with the launch of the Citi Travel with Booking.com, Citi introduced two new luxury hotel programs. The Hotel Collection and Luxury Hotel Collection currently feature hotels in the United States, Mexico and Caribbean, but the program offerings are expected to grow throughout this year.
So, whether you have a Citi credit card that earns ThankYou points or plan to get one soon, Citi’s new travel portal provides a new option for earning and redeeming Citi ThankYou points and make it easier to benefit from your Citi credit cards.
