In addition to the existing redemption options, the bank now allows to transfer miles to partners. People who travel a lot can find transfer miles program profitable. With the Capital One® cards, clients can earn miles and then transfer them to 12 partnering loyalty programs. After that, it is possible to spend miles for booking of award air tickets, getting special offers or upgrading existing bookings. The advantage of the Capital One Venture miles transfer is available to Venture Rewards and VentureOne Rewards cards owners. The Capital One Venture transfer miles partners are the following airlines:
• Aeromexico
• Aeroplan
• Alitalia
• Avianca
• Cathay Pacific
• Etihad Airways
• EVA Air
• Finnair
• Flying Blue
• Hainan Airlines
• Qantas
• Qatar Airways
A minimum transfer amount is 1,000 Venture Miles. However, these cards have an advantage over the rest – before transferring the miles, you can rise the amount in increments of 100. Be careful with the transfer ratios, do not forget about the ratio of 2:1.5 with most partners. With a minimum transfer amount of 1,000 Venture Miles can bring 750 miles for frequent flying passengers.
If you spend monthly $1.000, you will be able to get 24.000 miles every year with the Venture card and 15,000 miles with the VentureOne card, that’s equal to $240 and $150 in travel rewards correspondingly. But note that quantity of miles cardholders can earn depends on their credit level and purchase activity.
With the Venture Rewards card cardholders are able to earn 2 miles per dollar on net purchases. And also, the card allows you to earn 50,000 bonus miles if you spend at least $3,000 within 3 months of your rewards membership enrollment date. As for the annual fee, it is $0 for the first year, and $95 after that. With the VentureOne Rewards cards you are able to earn unlimited 1.25 miles per dollar on every purchase. Plus, the card allows you to earn 20,000 bonus miles once you spend $1,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening date. The card’s annual fee is $0. And you don’t have to pay a foreign transaction fee when making a purchase outside of the United States. And one more good point you may like is paying for online purchases with virtual card numbers and keeping your actual card number to yourself.
Capital One Venture cardholders have three ways to redeem miles for travel:
• The first one is to redeem for past travel purchases using Purchase Eraser®. Cardholders can book a travel through their favorite travel website or wherever they want using any Venture card. Then, visit capitalone.com or contact the Rewards Center to use Purchase Eraser feature to redeem the miles and receive an account credit for the cost of the travel purchase.
• The second way to redeem miles for travel is to book new travel reservations online at capitalone.com or through Rewards Center. The number of miles needed for travel redemption varies and is based upon the cost of the travel purchase. Here is how it works: multiply the cost of a travel purchase by 100. For example, if the travel purchase costs $200, cardholders would multiply that by 100 to get 20,000 miles to redeem.
• And the last one is miles transfer. People who travel a lot can transfer miles to partners. After that they can use these miles to book award tickets, receive special offers and much, much more.
Anyway, these cards have many useful features. However, whether they fit you is up to your needs.
