I’m disabled and I used to have good credit but now my score is 579. I am trying to build credit and don't know where to start. I have limited income. What advice can you offer me?

Consider applying for a secured credit card. Such cards have lower rates and fees. However, you will be required to put down a collateral deposit. The average amount of deposit is $200. Your credit limit will be equal to the deposit and if you want a higher credit line, simply deposit more. The credit activity on the card will be reported to the major credit bureaus, so you will be able to improve your credit history.
If you want an unsecured credit card, look at the cards for people with bad credit.
