I have an Express NEXT card, they offer big rewards, but I can’t find what their points are worth. How can you help me?

After earning 2,500 points you will automatically receive a $20 Reward, so 250 points are equal to $1. Consequently, 1 point is worth 0.4 cents. This is significantly cheaper than the usual rate of 1 cent per point or mile. So, basically it just seems that rewards are that big, but in reality you don’t receive a lot. With regular rewards credit cards you can gain much more. For example, the Discover it Cashback Match credit card will give you 5% cash back in selected categories that change every quarter (up to the quarterly maximum and if you activate) and 1% back on all purchases.

We would definitely advise against obtaining on of the co-branded cards, including the MAPCO credit card. Even leaving aside the fact that it’s accepted only at selected providers, we have the fact that the terms for the card are very unclear. And co-branded cards rarely have profitable conditions.
