I have an AAA membership; should I also apply for the credit card? Or is there another good option for me, if I'm in the market for a travel rewards credit card?

Your AAA membership keeps you covered in case of emergencies on the road, as well as offering discounts on train tickets, car rental, and plenty of other travel purchases. But if you're looking for a great credit card, don't limit yourself to AAA options. There are many cash back credit cards, travel rewards cards, points cards, and hotel rewards cards that can give you better deals. Look for a credit card that offers a generous sign-on bonus; you might even be able to get one that gives you enough frequent flyer miles for a round trip domestic flight when you spend a certain amount on purchases in the first three months you have the card. Depending on how you plan to use your card, you can earn more points at places you frequent, such as restaurants or grocery stores.
