I've accumulated $6,000 balance on my AmEx Blue credit card. Do you think an American Express balance transfer credit card is a good option for me if I already have an account with them?
Updated on June 04, 2019
Unfortunately, you won't be able to transfer the balance of one American Express credit card to another American Express credit card as balance transfers between two cards of one issuer are not allowed. You will need to apply for a credit card from a different issuer. For example, if you are planning to keep your new balance transfer credit card, you may like the Discover it® Balance Transfer offer. It will give you 18 months of 0% intro APR to transfer and to pay off the card balance. There is no annual fee for the card, but you will need to pay a balance transfer fee - 3% intro balance transfer fee, up to 5% fee on future balance transfers (see terms)*. When the balance is paid off, you can continue using this card for everyday purchases and earn cash back rewards. Please remember that when the zero introductory period is over, ongoing APR of 13.49% - 24.49% Variable will apply to all unpaid and new balances.
