Credit Card Lamp I have a home equity line of credit that has an interest rate of 7.5%. I would like to get a credit card with no transfer fee, low interest rate (below 4%), for the life of the balance. I called AX, which I have a HH plat., and they didn't have anything available now. I heard Fifth Third has such a card. Can I transfer a home equity balance to a credit card?, and whom do you suggest?
Answer:
Generally speaking turning home-equity debt into credit-card debt is possible. And, under right set of circumstances it can even save your money. When the interest rate is lower and you can afford the credit card payments? carrying credit-card debt is in fact safer than owing money to your mortgage lender. Still, be ready to make higher payments, because home-equity loans or lines of credit are typically amortized over 10 or 15 years, while credit card minimum payments use a shorter horizon. If you're going to hand a massive balance over to a credit-card company, it's best you do it with a balance transfer offer that promises a fixed rate for the life of the balance. And while 0% APR offers may look tempting, be careful. Those typically last for six to 12 months. Once the promotional rate expires, you'll be hit with the card's regular interest rate, which can run 18% or higher. Then, make sure the credit-card limit is high enough. Aim for at least twice the balance on your home loan. This way, you credit score isn't likely to drop because of high utilization. And it would wise of you to accept balance transfer credit card offer with no balance transfer fee. Fees have been on the rise and can go as high as 3% or 4% of the transferred balance, with no limit. Compare our balance transfer cards, and apply for one you like!

Credit Card Lamp I am looking for a credit card that I can set credit limit to around $1000 for a person with no credit history. I am willing to co-sign for it. I have excellence credit. oh..also with no fees (setup, annual, etc.)
Answer:
If you have excellent credit you will likely be eligible to accept a credit card on most favorable terms. You are welcome to evaluate our best online credit card offers. Most of credit cards for excellent/good are no annual fee cards. They combine various options, so it's necessary first to determine which of them you'd like to benefit from. For example, Platinum Card from Discover implies 0% Intro APR, no annual fee, 5% Cash back bonus, $0 Fraud Liability Guarantee and other benefits. The credit line will be determined by the credit card issuer according to your credit score. Read terms and conditions of different credit card offers, compare credit cards and choose the best one for you and your co-borrower.

Credit Card Lamp Hi, My credit FICO score is 705 , however I had a chapter 7 bankruptcy 3 years ago, can you advise me what banks would take a bankruptcy with a good credit score? I do not want a high interest rate with a score over 700 , thanks
Answer:
It is extremely bad as your credit history has suffered. It may take a long time to be approved. Don't expect to get a large credit limit after bankruptcy. Bunkruptcy information may be reported for 10 years. In this case you can get only certain cards which are called secured credit cards. Unsecured credit cards for bad credit are also profitable but they are expensive and give little credit. On sites of some banks you can choose a card, fitting to you, without its ordering. Just fill the service-list, pointing your credit conditions, and it'll show you the list of cards. But before you start applying for a loan, check your credit report and make sure all your accounts are in order. For many issuers your income is more important than your financal problems. You should explain why you went bunkrupt. You can give preference to Secured Mastercard from Orchard Bank with low APR and low annual fee.

Credit Card Lamp why is it that your denying me a credit card because of my crdet history which is no credit but, you offer credit cards with no credit history and your still denying me a credit card. How can I estabish a credit history with a credit card if i keep getting turned down? why even make this offer if the credit card company will not stand up to the offer.
Answer:
If your application for credit is denied, it means that you can't afford this credit. But don't worry! You should turn to a credit bureau and ask for your credit report. You can also look through our no credit card applications and choose the best card to start with. If you have been turned down for credit cards before, you can also turn to guaranteed approval credit cards which can provide you with an instant approval. They are also a good step towards good credit history.

Credit Card Lamp I have previously had bad credit due to medical and employment reasons. Bills are paid or negotiated. I have bought a new house and all bills are current. What kind of card should I apply for?
Answer:
It seems you aren?t sure about your current credit score. Thus, it`s recommendable for you to get your credit score from nationwide credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. Also, you can order your credit score through the official online source established for this purpose. Having learned what your credit score is you increase the chances to apply for a credit card, which you`re most likely to get, escaping getting refusals, which can hurt your credit score. With poor credit you can get one of bad credit cards and repair your credit timely. Consider First PREMIER credit cards, capable of credit strengthening. Many of these cards provide low APR on purchases and guaranteed approval.

Credit Card Lamp should i transfer balances with high apr's, but low monthly payments, or credit debt with high monthly payments?
Answer:
Actually the idea of balance transfer cards is to shift your debt from a card with higher rate to one with lower ones. Transferring your balance from a high interest credit card to one with a low interest rate is easy, if you take into consideration some tips. If your credit score is good, you won`t have any problem getting a card with intro 0%APR on balance transfers. Another thing you will want to consider is the fee that may be charged if you transfer funds. To avoid this balance transfer fee you can apply for no balance transfer fee cards, such as Discover platinum card, some of American Express cards and CitiBank cards. The payments you`ll have to make will be determined by your new credit card terms.

Credit Card Lamp HI ,
I\'M WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY WAY POSSIBLE THAT I CAN GET A CREDIT CARD WITH AT LEAST A $500 SPENDING LIMIT FOR MY VACATION. I\'M CURRENTLY PAYING OFF THE ONLY CREDIT CARD I\'VE EVER HAD.
Answer:
You didn't mention what credit history you have as credit rating is very important in the choice of a credit card. Besides, creditors determine credit limit based on your credit worthiness and income potential. If you use your credit card regularly and avoid late payments, you get a chance to be approved for any card you like. To learn more about your credit score, turn to the credit bureau and check your credit report. It depends on your credit ability whether you'll obtain this or that card. When you know what credit cards you are eligible for, you can apply for a credit card online. Look through our site and get more information about all credit cards offered by the leading credit card companies (Visa credit cards, MasterCard credit cards, Discover credit cards, American Express cards, etc.). If you have excellent (750-850) or good credit history (660-749), you can apply for the best credit cards. Fair credit cards (620-659) are suitable for improving your credit. Credit cards for people with fair credit are issued by many credit institutions, so you have a chance to compare them all and choose any card you like. If you feel that you don't qualify for our credit cards with fair credit, you can try credit cards for bad credit (350-619). If you travel a lot (at your vocations), you may be interested in frequent flyer cards. Mind that in this case you must have excellent or good credit history.
