how can i prove my credit worthiness back to the credit card people |
|
Answer:
You have only one way to do it: pay off your balances in full and on time and never stop using credit cards. Some property is also a good demonstration of your reliability as well as severl department store cards. But when applying for cards, mind your credit score and do not try to get a better card than you are eligible for.

Question: I own and operate a successful LLC that grosses over $250k annually. I also have a six year old personal bankruptcy on my credit report that keeps thwarting my efforts to secure a business credit card. Can you advise me of who is most likely to approve my company for a CORPORATE credit card (not a personal credit card) in light of the circumstances?
Thanks,
Andrew Berke |
|
Answer:
Try to apply to Citibank. To increase the chances of getting a card, you should eastablish your business credit account and get your business plan to show to creditors. They will still look at your credit history, so the amount will not be very extensive.
Good luck,

do you have to pay the card balance in full each month for the AE Blue card or just the monthly payment? |
|
Answer:
As far as I know, this card has a flexible system of payments, so as you can pay however you want. But, actually, all the details about payments can be found in terms&conditions of the card or ask the customer service.

I have 716 on equifax, 713 on experian, and 695 on transunion. I have a bankrupcy filing for chapter 13 that was filed 12/1999 showing on transunion only. Is it possible for me to get an american express card? |
|
Answer:
Ch. 13 stays for 10 years in your credit report, but as you have good credit score, you may try to ask the bureau to remove it (but little hope for that). MInd that banks usually look at thr lowest credit score report, in your case it is Transunion, so you won't be able to hide it. I think, the safest thing for you will be to apply for some other card.

Does a person have a better chance of being approved for a credit card with a larger line of credit if they have money in a savings account in the same bank for which they are making an application? This card would be used as a balance transfer card only, so I could lower the interest rate until I get the balance paid off. |
|
Answer:
I suppose,in this case chances will be better. But it will work on condition that your credit score is enough for a balance transfer card which usually require good credit history. You are welcome to apply online for a balance transfer card at our site.
Best of luck,

filed a chapter 7 in 2000. Since then I have purchased two cars and everything since 2000 has been paid promptly. I need to get a credit card to pay off a student loan in order to get back my financial aid to finish college and go to grad school. I am 43 with the same job for the last eight years, I return to college in 2003 and I am almost finished. |
|
Answer:
You may try to apply for one of Orchard bank credit cards or First Premier bank credit cards. They are easier to get and pay off.

Try to get a secured credit card. It will require a deposit in a bank, which will define the amount of credit you'll get.
