Can I use a Sam’s credit card other places besides the store?

Yes, a Sam’s MasterCard credit card can be used anywhere that accepts MasterCard as a method of payment. It’s understandable that there would be some confusion about this, because some store credit cards don’t allow people to use them outside of the retailer that issues them. And there is a Sam’s card issued by Synchrony Bank that is not a MasterCard and is strictly a store card. The best thing to do is get a store credit card that can be used to make purchases everywhere that accepts cards. This way, you can earn more cash back, points, or other rewards – because the more you spend, the more rewards you’ll earn. Retail store credit cards have another downside, as well: they often have a very high interest rate, and don’t come with the same benefits as a cash back or travel rewards credit card. A better choice is a card that offers flexible rewards, plenty of perks, and a low interest rate.
