I have a Target store near my home and I shop there often. Is their credit card worth getting?

Their card offers a 5% discount but it also offers a hefty APR of 23.15%. This is not out of the ordinary for a store branded card. For the most part store cards generally have an APR of at least 19.99%. So I would not use this card if you were going to carry a balance as it would quickly negate the savings and end up costing you more. In the case of this card the store card and the MasterCard have the same APR so there is no break for those with excellent credit. This card does have a grace period. So as long as you pay your entire balance within 25 days of the end of the billing period you can avoid interest charges. If you plan on carrying a balance a traditional bank issued card is probably a better idea.
