The Home Depot is one of the largest home improvement retailers. You can find its stores in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada, and in Mexico. The company offers financing solutions to consumers and to business owners.

Consumers can apply for the Home Depot Consumer credit card or for The Home Depot Project Loan. The Home Depot eGift cards are also available. They can be at amounts between $10 and $500.

The Home Depot Consumer credit card has a 6-month interest free period on purchases over $299. So you have a good chance to avoid paying interest if you pay off the purchase balance within 6 months. But if you fail the interest will be charged from the purchase date.

There is no annual fee for the card but the APR may be quite high - up to 26.99%. You may be offered special financing offers throughout the year. Plus you will be able to manage your account online, check the account activity and receive credit statements.

The Consumer credit card is a revolving account whereas the Home Depot Project Loan is an 84-month account which can be paid off at any time. This account has a fixed APR of 7.99% and you will be given 6 months to make all your project purchases at this rate.
