I want to buy new furniture and I qualified for BrandsMart financing, but can I use my regular credit card instead?

Yes, you can absolutely use your regular credit card to make this purchase instead. In fact, it’s a better choice than using their in-store financing. But keep in mind that you could also apply for a brand-new credit card, one with a sign-up bonus and a cash back rewards program, and get even more bang for your buck out of this purchase. There are just a couple of things to consider first. Take a look at your credit score and make sure it’s in the healthy range, so your chances of being approved for the card are as high as possible. Then, look at what your credit limit might be. You don’t want to max out your new card as soon as you get it; that’s not good for your credit rating. But depending on what your limit is, and how much your furniture costs, it might be no problem at all. A card with a 0% APR offer on new purchases is absolutely your best bet when making this improvement to your home. Congratulations on a great choice!
